Our Services

TESTING

We can test all ages, from birth to older than 100. We have otoacoustic emissions to test any difficult to test patient, from newborns to special needs adults. We also use high frequency tympanometry to obtain an accurate tympanogram on a newborn. Our building is wheelchair accessible with plenty of room for family members to listen to results.

HEARING PROTECTION

We can provide counseling on the benefits on the various types of hearing protection and take impressions to provide custom hearing protection, including musician monitors.

Assistive listening devices

From amplified phones to bed shaker alarm clocks, we can provide counseling on various types of available assistive devices, including many that connect directly to hearing aids.

Hearing aids

We are providers for most major, national manufacturers, meaning that we can not only fit multiple different brands, but we can service most hearing aids, if you are new to the area. Not being locked into only one manufacturer means that we can provide you with a solution that is right for YOU, even if that means trying a few different brands to find the one that is best for you.

insurance

We are providers for most major insurance programs. Please check with your insurance for policy coverage for both testing and hearing aids. We are happy to help with any questions you may have because we have probably heard that question before!

COCHLEAR IMPLANTS

We recently added cochlear implant services to our office! We can do the cochlear implant evaluation here and then refer you to one of the surgeons with whom we work. Programming is done here, locally. We work with both Cochlear Americas and Advanced Bionics implants.

Veteran's choice

We are proud to serve our local veterans by working with Veteran's Choice to provide local services to our veterans.

Types of hearing aids

Receiver in the ear

This is the most popular style of hearing aid with the speaker in the ear canal, attached by a thin wire to the rest of the hearing aid, which rests behind the ear.

Behind the ear

This style is useful for both children with growing ears and adults with more profound hearing losses requiring more power. It uses an earmold attached by a tube to the hearing aid.

Custom

This style includes in the ear, in the canal, completely in the canal, and invisible in the canal. These are made by taking an impression of the ear which is then scanned, and the hearing aid is created from this scan.

Instant fit

Just as it sounds, this is a one size fits most hearing aid for people who want a small, ready to go hearing aid.

Technology levels

All major manufacturers offer varying technology levels. The price of any given hearing aid is driven by the technology level chosen by the patient. We try to match the patient's lifestyle and communication needs to the level of technology we recommend. However, we never make the final decision for our patients. We want them to make an informed decision.
